Lyra Speakers

Jaton's Lyra loudspeakers combine materials as
traditional and venerated as silk with components as
advanced as double-fluid, molded macromolecule
sound boxes to deliver audiophile sound at real-world
prices..
The heart of the high-frequencies is ultra fine silk, an array of exactly 25 fibers
aligned to accurately radiate sound from the half-dome tweeter. Coupled with
a super magnet, the tweeter then delivers a sound clear and smooth as, well,
silk.
The mids and base radiate from a magnesium alloy vibration film mounted
in either aluminum or beryllium frame backed by an ultra-high-powered
magnet. Although these materials are not unique, Lyra's methods are. We
extrude our frames with a precise hose process that yields a faster reacting
crystal structure in the resulting metal. The payoff for this technical
innovation is more precise rhythms and fidelity to the mid-range, those
all-important octaves between 33 Hz and 3.5 khz inhabited by the sweet
sounds of most musical instruments and the human voice. This is technology
matched to the magic of music.
We deliver our magic in a full range of four models to satisfy any set of needs and demands.

The first and accurate impression is these speakers are
lightweight, which is not to say, lightweight performers.
They are delicate and airy as a ballet dancer because
they are fabricated from an open-pourous board
derived from Italian technology. This material was not
selected simply to reduce weight, but because its airy
mass refuses sound-killing cabinet resonance and at the
same time delivers unparalleled bass fidelity. It also is
incredibly durable; its abilities won't degrade over time,
under vibration or even under punishing temperatures
and ultraviolet light. Lyra delivers great sound now and
forever.
This space-age lay-up also allows molding of our uniquely curved cabinets. The angular
aesthetics are accented by a black, high-gloss finish, but the curves are far more than a visual
conceit. The design minimizes parallel surfaces to nearly zero, further defeating cabinet
resonance and echoes.
Transducers then mount in a proprietary driver isolation system that preserves the integrity
and separation of woofers and tweeter.
